Contract to hire - Automation Engineer - SDET

Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India

Min. Experience: Mid Level

As an SDET, the person has to be both Automation Testing and Functional Testing expertise (4-7 years). 

Qualification:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with strong team skills, are required.
  • Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical studies

Skills and Requirements SDET : 

  • Strong Javascript, Java or any programming language
  • UI Test automation experience in any framework (e.g. Selenium Webdriver, Puppeteer, Playwright, Cypress, Protractor)
  • Expertise in Test script development, execution and debugging 
  • Experience building test scripts using existing automation frameworks 
  • Exposure to continuous integration (Jenkins/CicleCI/Github Actions).
  • Experience testing web applications and RESTful APIs.
  • Strong functional/manual testing background, including defining test strategy, test planning, test case design, and execution
  • Agile testing experience
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Good attention to detail, strong communication skills

Good to have (Optional)

  • Experience building/ enhancing automation frameworks 
  • Mobile testing/automation experience 
  • Experience in API testing PostMan, Rest Assured API 
  • Experience with Git and AWS
  • Experience in leveraging AI tools in day to day QA activities 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Project experience using an Agile methodology (e.g. Scrum)
  • Develop and execute automation tests for new and existing features.
  • Maintain, improve, and expand the existing automation framework.
  • Work with Operations to integrate automated tests into the deployment pipeline.
  • Work closely with the Regression team, BAs, and Product to identify gaps in automation coverage.
  • Debug issues identified through automation and work with the development teams to document and resolve these issues.
